Four ways a bulk spice order goes wrong, and what we do about each.

The EU, the UK and South Korea currently run elevated checks on Indian-origin spice. These are the four reasons lots get held.

Problem: The lot is rejected at port

Aflatoxin, ethylene oxide, lead, Salmonella or moisture over the limit.

Our fix: Your tolerance goes in the contract

Agreed before the order, then every lot tested against it before packing.

Problem: Nobody will own the problem

Agent, aggregator, processor and exporter each blame the last one.

Our fix: One company, farm to sealed container

Farmers grow for us under contract. We grade, process and pack in our own units. One contract, one signature.

Problem: The paperwork arrives short

The container lands, clearance stalls and demurrage starts running.

Our fix: The full document set, listed upfront

Every certificate your spice and your market need, named in the contract.

Problem: You see the goods far too late

A full container is the first thing you ever get to inspect.

Our fix: Sample and CoA before you pay

A pre-shipment sample couriered with its lab report, approved by you first.

Grower, not trader

We grow what we sell. None of it is bought in.

Many exporters are traders: they buy at auction or from aggregators, blend lots and resell. Every Prime Harvest lot is grown for us under contract, then graded and packed in our own units.

Where the spice comes fromA trader: Auction yards and aggregators, often many farms blended into one lotPrime Harvest Global: Farmers growing for us under contract, in named regions
Who grades and processes itA trader: A third-party or rented unitPrime Harvest Global: Our own grading and processing units
Who answers for a failed lotA trader: Each hand in the chain blames the one beforePrime Harvest Global: One company, under one contract
What the price carriesA trader: A margin at every hand the lot passes throughPrime Harvest Global: No middle margin. Priced direct from the grower

Are you a trader or a grower?
A grower and exporter. Every lot is grown for us under contract in named regions, then graded, processed and packed in our own units. We do not buy on the open market or from aggregators, so there is no middle margin and one company answers for the lot.
          What is the minimum order?
0.5 MT per spice. That is small enough to trial a grade before you book a full container.
Do you send samples, and who pays?
Yes, with a certificate of analysis for the lot the sample was drawn from. The buyer pays the courier, and sample approval usually takes about 5 days.
Which Incoterms do you work on?
We work on FOB, CIF and EXW. The Incoterm is agreed upfront and written into your quote.
          What are your payment terms?
Payment terms are flexible. They are agreed in writing with the quote before you sign.
How long from order to shipment?
About 15 days on average from order placement to loading. Contracted acreage is what keeps this predictable.
          Which certifications do you hold?
ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, IFS, Halal and Kosher. Organic is certified for the United States (USDA NOP), the EU, Japan (JAS), Canada (COR) and the United Kingdom (GB Certificate of Inspection). Copies on request.
          Do you quote in euros?
We quote in US dollars, on the Incoterm that suits your destination and the port you name.
Can you pack under our own label?
Yes. Send your artwork and pack spec and we quote the private-label line separately. The minimum for private label is 1 MT.
